Greetings, greetings, fellow star gazers!

Do you know how hard is to get someone to stargaze, nowadays? We have everything on Earth’s ground, we have our cellphones, TVs, PC, Internet, so, why bother?

A man by a name of Jack Horkheimer always thought that we should look up to skies more, even in this modern age. Since 1976, his small weekly show, “Jack Horkheimer: Star Hustler”, helped several generations of American people find their way through the sky, and even outside of the USA, his legacy was remarkable. Week by week he would talk about the sky passionately, showing and explaining to us, in a really simple way, astronomical events for that specific week, small information about our solar system and the Universe.

Yup. I was. I was planning to extract certain letters from certain bubbles on certain pages of Inu wo Kau chapters and turn them into passwords for downloading Akkun and Miichan. You know, like those P’rince of P’ersia computer games they used to play back in the 90s. (more…)

Hello everyone!

We look like we’re in a rush, don’t we? You must be saying: Wow, these guys are releasing Sora no Manimani really fast! And well, we are trying to get a nice pace.

To be fair and just FYI, these two chapters were cleaned and typeset at the same time by different staff, that’s why we were able to deliver the two chapters almost at the same time (except that I took some more time because of a small incident). (more…)

So that you get to know: This chapter was a total riot. We started back in December ’09 and we ended up releasing it on May!
It’s part my fault.

We ran thru a lot of problems, among work, sickness, studies, computer crashes (we were able to recover), cats… Nevertheless, we fought, and completely glad we present you:

…just by liking a map?

Welcome to DRAT! Bear with us, we’re still fixing some kinks on the site.

We thought it would be nice to wrap up the second volume of SoraMani before 2010 comes. At this rate, we’re covering 2 volumes a year, which is not bad (at least to me) considering the amount of work there is to do for each chapter. This was made possible thanks to my awesometastic editors and staff. They share the work and fill in for each other. They help out, sometimes a few pages at a time. Some staff despise colour pages, some love them; some freak out at the thought of typesetting SoraMani, some love playing with the  fonts – works out perfectly for us.

I’m not sure whether we’ll be able to carry on at the same rate. I certainly hope to get as much as possible done. My personal target – at least 3 volumes this year, (that will be at least some 20 chapters) along with Flat, Aoiro Toshokan, Wakadaishou and Inu wo Kau. Most of our SoraMani editors are getting busier in 2010. Two of them are going on some sort of hiatus for a couple of months, thus we’re left with just Tamashii to edit the majority of the bulk. If you can, please consider helping.

The map background is an homage to Sou-nii. We’re accepting suggestions for the background. If you have a fanart, a nice picture, an astronomical photograph, the sunset, sunrise… just anything that’s nice, decent and relevant (or maybe irrelevant) to share, drop us a line. Knowing me and my OCD, I might just be changing the background every so often.

tl;dr – We need more editors! We’re welcoming background picture submissions. E-mail us!
